A group of breeders from Manitoba are pleased to offer a new event for youth from across the province. This event is called the MANITOBA YOUTH BEEF ROUND-UP. This exciting three day event will bring together Junior members, 4-Hers and enthusiasts from all across Manitoba.


Allow us to tell you a bit about our event that we anticipate holding annually in Manitoba. The show is organized by representatives from various breeds that have been involved with National and Provincial shows that have been hosted in Manitoba. Our goal is to prepare young entrepreneurs in the livestock industry, thru this exciting showcase of youth, cattle and friendly competition. This event will educate, encourage, stimulate and unite participants in the business of agriculture and the beef industry. It encompasses a variety of competitions and events to match all interests and skill levels of participants. Some of the events are Team Grooming, Individual and Team Judging, Showmanship, Marketing, Sales Talk, Art, Photography, Scrapbooking, as well as cattle classes.


This is a celebration and showcase of Manitoba Youth and agriculture in our province. Agriculture is the main industry in the province and offers many outstanding career opportunities throughout Canada. Our industry continues to pull together in spite of the international impact of BSE. We encourage young and old to stay involoved in the agriculture industry, explore career opportunities, increase national trade and awareness, and be proud to be part of one of Canada`s largest industries. We feel the celebration of our first show exeplifies the importance of youth and agriculture, and will strive to present innovative opportunites that promote and educate future cattleman dedicated to the cattle business. In light of the tough economic times we continue to work hard to restore public confidence in beef and create a solid foundation for the future of our youth.
